The Pittsburgh Steelers have been anything but quiet this offseason. Pittsburgh kicked things off by trading with the Seattle Seahawks to bring star wide receiver DK Metcalf to the Steel City.

Then, Pittsburgh shipped receiver George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys to recoup draft capital. The Steelers followed up those moves with the signing of four-time MVP-winning quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Then, Pittsburgh shipped star safety Minkah Fitzpatrick to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for the services of Jalen Ramsey and Jonnu Smith, and inked pass rusher T.J. Watt to a deal that made Watt the highest-paid non-quarterback in league history at the time.

Now, the Steelers are back at it, inking another star to a major extension, per one prominent league insider.

“The #Steelers and RB Jaylen Warren agreed to terms on a 2-year deal that pays him over $7M this year and includes $12M guaranteed,” reported NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport on Twitter on Monday.

Fans reacted to the extension, which is jarring, considering Warren has never made a career start, on social media.

“A steal. Reward the high character guys all day,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Congrats. Please stop fumbling,” one Steelers fan wrote.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Deal pans out for the Steelers, who are clearly in win-now mode.
