Pittsburgh Steelers

This has arguably been the busiest off-season in franchise history for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Things kicked off with a splash when the franchise traded with the Seattle Seahawks to acquire star wide receiver DK Metcalf.

Then, shortly after that, Pittsburgh traded its incumbent number one wide receiver, George Pickens, to the Dallas Cowboys to recoup draft capital. That move was followed by the signing of four-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers, in what figures to be his last chance to win a Super Bowl in the NFL

The Steelers also traded away franchise centerpiece Minkah Fitzpatrick to the Miami Dolphins in return for cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith.

Things don’t stop there either, the franchise made star pass rusher T.J. Watt the highest paid non-quarterback in league history.

Sources: The #Steelers and All-Pro edge TJ Watt have agreed to terms on a long-term deal to make him the NFL’s highest-paid defender. He gets a 3-year, $123M blockbuster deal in a contract done by RJ Gonser of (CAA Football),” reported NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

However, it would seem contracts like Watt’s come with casualties, as the franchise has made a shocking cut elsewhere on the roster.

“Breaking news… Pittsburgh Steelers release old washed up cordarrelle patterson on his day off!!!”  Cordarrelle Patterson tweeted on Monday afternoon.

The Steelers are all in on a Super Bowl push, it’ll be interesting to see how things play out for the team this season.
