The Cleveland Browns landed quarterback Shedeur Sanders in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft after Sanders underwent an unprecedented free fall, after he was expected to be taken in the first 10 picks.
Now, Sanders is competing with Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel to be the Browns’ starting quarterback when Week One rolls around. However, Sanders had a brutal sequence during one of the Browns’ open OTAs.
In a video that is making the rounds on social media, Sanders had one of his passes tipped before being intercepted and brought back the other way by Nick Needham.
Fans reacted to the sequence on social media.
“It literally took 3 ppl to intercept a pass from Shedeur. Just let that simmer,” one fan said faceitiously on Twitter.
“I love that throw. All interceptions aren’t made equal. From a coach perspective, that’s one you gotta live with,” another fan added.
“There is no justification for us to do a sanders and elite QB one to be drafted in the fifth round. None! Shedeur is NFL Ready!” someone else wrote.
“Receiver should have caught it good ball placement,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see who wins the Browns’ starting job.
