The Seattle Seahawks are pretty solidified at the quarterback position with Geno Smith established as the team’s clear-cut starter and Drew Lock remaining with the team as one of the most veteran and experienced backup quarterbacks in the league. But that does not appear to be stopping the team from trying to bolster the quarterback position.
According to a report from NFL insider Josina Anderson of CBS Sports, the Seattle Seahawks are bringing in yet another talented young player at the quarterback position, hosting former Oregon Ducks star quarterback Anthony Brown for a workout on Tuesday.
“Im told free agent QB Anthony Brown is scheduled to workout for the #Seahawks Tuesday, per source,” Anderson said in a post on X, the social media website formerly known as Twitter.
It’s a pretty notable move, especially given that Brown has plenty of on-field experience, starting a pivotal game against the Cincinnati Bengals last season. As a result, people had plenty to say about it on social media.
It’s not immediately clear exactly what the team’s plan is for Brown, but it is clear that they want to see what he can do and explore how he could potentially help the team.
