The most interesting moments of Sunday’s terrific Jaguars-Seahawks game actually came when Jacksonville was just trying to kneel down and run the clock out for a 30-24 victory.
On their first kneeldown attempt, a fight broke out after a dirty play from Seattle’s Michael Bennett, and the Seahawks’ Sheldon Richardson was ejected for throwing a punch.

On the next kneeldown attempt, Seattle defensive lineman Quinton Jefferson was ejected. And when Jefferson was on his way to the tunnel, an object was thrown at him from the stands. Jefferson then walked closer to the stands, and was arguing with the fans, when another object was thrown at him. That caused Jefferson to try climbing up into the stands, before EverBank Field security pulled him back.
Jefferson obviously shouldn’t be trying to go into the stands (we don’t want another Pacers-Pistons situation here), but I find myself siding with him more than the the idiots throwing objects at him. Hopefully the fans are identified and never allowed back into Jaguars games (and potentially arrested too).
