Former NFL offensive lineman Russell Okung weighed around 300 pounds throughout his NFL career. He posted an absolutely wild body transformation on social media that looks largely unrecognizable to most NFL fans.
Okung had a long and successful 11-year NFL career, playing for the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, and the Carolina Panthers. He reached some huge heights over his career, making two Pro Bowl appearances.
However, sometimes being an offensive lineman isn’t exactly an ideal body shape off the field. Okung tweeted a photo Sunday with the caption “Reborn” to describe his new, much slimmer and toned body.

This new version of Okung appears to be even healthier than he was during his NFL career. Many around the NFL world took notice of this photo and shared their opinion of his physique.

Many of his former teammates also praised him for his impressive weight loss.

The veteran offensive lineman retired just two years ago after the 2020 season, so it is certainly shocking to see such a huge difference in his body so quickly.
Okung’s weight loss could be due to some significant health problems during his NFL career. He notably missed 10 games back in 2019 with a pulmonary embolism due to blood clots.
It’s not clear whether the blood clot issues remain a problem. However, his new photo certainly makes him appear much more healthy now.
