For the first time since leaving Super Bowl LVI with a torn ACL, Odell Beckham Jr. suited up for an NFL game Sunday.
Beckham had two receptions for 37 yards in Baltimore’s 25-9 season-opening win over the Houston Texans.
Following the game, Beckham posted a pair of messages on X, saying, “Always Gods plan. And never your own…lol God really got a sense of humor. I’m Grateful for the dub just gotta keep grinding. Butttt D— IT FELT GOOD TO BE BACK OUT THERE! Lotta work put in that nobody seen just to get back out there so I’m Proud of myself for that. We finna get it POPPIN flock nation! Drafted by the Giants in 2014, Beckham immediately became one of the NFL’s best wide receivers. In his first three seasons in New York, the former LSU standout recorded 4,122 passing yards and 35 touchdowns. He was the first Giant to be named AP Offensive Rookie of the Year following the 2014 season, as well.
Beckham was traded to the Browns in 2019 and spent two seasons in Cleveland. By the middle of the 2021 season, Beckham asked to be released by the Browns and signed with the Rams where he won his first career Super Bowl in the game in which he tore his ACL.
