The Baltimore Ravens are looking to get over the hump and make it to the Super Bowl for the first time with the offense under the command of multiple MVP winner Lamar Jackson. Unfortunately for the Ravens, they are not having the start to the season they were looking for. Through the first four games of the season, Baltimore is tied with the Cleveland Browns at 1-3, good for last place in the always tighly contested AFC North.
The job for Baltimore isn’t getting any easier, either, with one of their defensive stars being ruled out for the rest of the season.
“Ravens Pro Bowl DT Nnamdi Madubuike is out for the season due to his neck injury,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.
The bad news isn’t stopping there for Baltimore. Jackson suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, and it appears as if it’ll impact his availability moving forward.
“Ravens coach John Harbaugh on QB Lamar Jackson and his hamstring injury: ‘The way I know Lamar, if he could’ve gone in the game, he would’ve been in the game. That’s how Lamar is.” That does open the door to Jackson missing next Sunday vs. the #Texans,'” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Monday.
Fans reacted to the brutal news on social media.
“The best thing Harbaughs are good at is lying,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“He better miss next week for optics. Cuz it look like he quit,” someone else added.
“personally i feel like if your assumption was that he quit on his team, it says a lot about your character,” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see where the Ravens’ season goes from here.
