The Baltimore Ravens have struggled immensely this season. Baltimore is 1-5 on the season. Star quarterback Lamar Jackson has missed a couple of games with injury, and head coach John Harbaugh was candid about how much he’s looking forward to getting him back.
I’m leaning into [Jackson’s return] pretty hard,” Harbaugh said. “If I was on the couch with a psychiatrist right now, if I was spilling it, I would have to say I’m leaning really hard into that, really hard. For any kind of psychological well-being, spiritual well-being, I’m leaning hard on that happening. So, I’m very hopeful that that happens.”
Unfortunately, as the Ravens gear up to face the Chicago Bears following their bye week, Jackson still isn’t on the field.
“QB Lamar Jackson remains sidelined with a hamstring injury. The 2-time NFL MVP did not participate in Monday’s practice, which was the Ravens’ first one since coming off the bye. Jackson hasn’t suited up since injuring his hamstring in Kansas City on Sept. 28,” reported Jamison Hensley on Monday.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“He doesn’t play hurt so will he come back to a 1-5 football team or bail thats the question,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“He is too good of a player to rush back early. Give him another week. They can still make the playoffs at 1-6,” one fan added sarcastically.
“If Lamar Jackson misses the Bears game the Ravens are cooked. The Ravens won’t be able to score 10 points without him on offense,” another person added.
It’ll be interesting to see if Jackson suits up against Chicago.
