Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is trying to lead the franchise back to the Super Bowl one last time before he decides to call it a career and end what has been almost certainly a Hall of Fame career.
Stafford has the Rams looking like legitimate contenders, and they’re sitting at 4-2, good for first place in the AF West after their first six weeks of action. This weekend, the Rams are traveling to London to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in one of the NFL’s international games.
Unfortunately, it’s looking as if Stafford may have to figure out a way to get a victory without his top target, according to a report from one of the league’s most prominent insiders.
“Rams WR Puka Nacua didn’t practice today due to his ankle injury,” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“There’s no reason for him to travel and play hurt when they have a bye next week,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“They’d be nuts to fly him to Europe, they’ll lose to Jags w/o him but sacrifices need to be made,” another fan added.
“It was only a matter of time when they threw the ball to him 90 times a game,” someone else wrote.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Rams can get a win if Nacua can’t go.
