NFL world reacts to Davante Adams’ apology after shoving media member

It was an exciting finish on Monday night between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs. But one ugly moment involving Raiders star receiver Davante Adams stole many of the headlines following the game.

Las Vegas was marching down the field in their final possession of the game to potentially set up a game-winning field goal.

However, the team was unable to convert on a fourth-down pass attempt after Adams ran into teammate Hunter Renfrow, and Kansas City went on to win the entertaining game.

Frustrations then boiled over for Adams in a big way following the game. While he was walking off the field, he shoved a photographer to the ground in anger.

This unprompted altercation very quickly caused Adams to catch a ton of heat for the incident.  He quickly took to social media after the game to apologize to the man that he shoved.

“Sorry to the guy I pushed over after the game. Obviously very frustrated at the way the game ended and when he ran in front of me as I exited that was my reaction and I felt horrible immediately. That’s not me, my apologies man hope you see this.”

This apology drew a wide range of reactions. Some believe that Adams was being sincere in his apology to this person.

Others believe that this was just an attempt from Adams to save face given the criticism he is facing.

It’s unclear at this point how severely the NFL will come down on Adams following this incident.

According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the NFL is reviewing the situation, and it seems like both a fine and a potential suspension are on the table for Adams.

Everyone makes mistakes and this certainly doesn’t define Adams as a person or a football player. But this is definitely a situation that he wishes that he could take back.
