Earlier this month, the NFL world was struck by some horrible news that former NFL star running back Peyton Hillis was hospitalized after a heroic, life-saving act where he sprung into action to save his children from drowning in the ocean. And after several days in intensive care at the hospital, the updates are not good.
As reported by NFL reporter Dov Kleiman, Peyton Hillis remains in intensive care and the health of his kidneys is now of “great concern.”
“Update: Former #NFL RB Peyton Hillis is still in intensive care following saving his kids from drowning on Jan.5 Hillis is battling. Initially the lungs and kidneys were the main issues. his kidneys are a “great concern” now, per @3onyourside Hillis is a hero, pray for him,” Kleiman said on Twitter.
Hillis reportedly sprang into action to save his children from drowning in the ocean earlier this month. While his kids are safe and unharmed thanks to his selfless sacrifice, it’s now clear that Hillis’ own life is now in danger as a result of his heroic act.
It goes without saying that the entire NFL world is supporting and praying for Hillis and his family during this difficult time.
