Denver Broncos defensive lineman Dre’mont Jones starred at Ohio State after a standout prep career at Cleveland’s prestigious St. Ignatius High School.

So much so that the Broncos made Jones the 71st overall pick in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Since then, Jones has blossomed into a force in the trenches for Denver.

Meanwhile, his alma mater, Ohio State, is in the business of using its former stars’ performances in the League as recruiting fodder. The Buckeyes did that following last week’s games with one curious omission:

Jones quickly noticed his absence after being named AFC Defensive Player of the Week after dominating in a win against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

“Not that I overly care that much but do we have beef or something because I wasn’t included at all……just a respect thing yah know lol,” Jones tweeted after notching seven total tackles, three tackles for a loss and a sack in the win.

The last time Jones criticized his alma mater came in 2021 when the former Buckeye product said that the Jaguars’ turmoil under his former coach Urban Meyer “did not surprise” him.

Jones and the Broncos are next in action on Nov. 13th when they travel to Nashville to face the Tennessee Titans.
