Pop signers declaring their love for NFL franchises seems to be all the rage these days.
Earlier this week, icon Taylor Swift created headlines throughout the world when she elected to attend the Chicago Bears vs. Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium to watch her new beau, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Not to be outdone, the Cleveland Browns of all teams got a massive boost when Adele revealed her fandom while performing a concert.
“I have to support the Cleveland Browns because my partner’s from Cleveland,” Adele said.
Her fiance is sports agent Rich Paul, who famously is childhood best friends with Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James.
Adele went on to also state that she’s still learning some rules of the game.
“I don’t understand the game, why does the whistle always get blown?” she asked. “Why is it four yards? Why is there inches? Why does it stop when it gets [expletive] exciting?”
The Browns were quick to make hay of their newest famous fan, calling the singer “one of us” in a post to social media.
The Browns face the Baltimore Ravens in AFC North play on Sunday.
The NFL world was quick to react to the surprising news:
