The Cleveland Browns are struggling to say the least. After two games, the Browns have yet to show up in the win column. Making matters even worse is that both losses were to divisional opponents in the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens.
Now, the frustrations from the poor play on the field are spilling out into the locker room and manifesting in media sessions.
“Shit’s embarrassing. We got to be better on defense. We got to be better as a team. They slowly chipped away and we did a solid job, holding them to 3 when we could, and then eventually the dam broke and they just did whatever they want, and we have to continue to play a 60-minute game,” star pass rusher Myles Garrett said, via ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi.
Fans reacted to Garrett’s callout on social media.
“Myles has been a lot more vocal this year. Glad he wasn’t saving his voice to request a trade,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Bro said he wanted to win a Super Bowl, then re-upped with Cleveland. He has no one to look at but the mirror,” another fan added.
“I’ve seen people quoting the first part of Myles Garrett’s comments…this is why you always wait for the full quote,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if Garrett’s words spark a turnaround in Cleveland.
