Three days after it happened, the NFL world still couldn’t stop talking about the game of the year. Now, the radio voice of the Minnesota Vikings, Paul Allen, is the center of discussion.
The Vikings play-by-play man has had his fair share of memorable calls. Notably, ones made in crunch time. Make no mistake, Allen stepped up to the moment in the Vikings’ clash with the Buffalo Bills. What a wild game it was. Star receiver Justin Jefferson scorched the Bills in the win, including one sensational catch.
The Vikings posted a video on Twitter that featured Allen and his crew making the calls in Buffalo. The results? They were great.
Many in the NFL and the sports world reacted to the video, helping it go viral.
College GameDay, YouTube show host, and WWE personality Pat McAfee tweeted, “I didn’t know this incredible human existed until now… I feel as if I’ve missed out on so much electricity. The talent… the passion… the story telling. Paul Allen, Minnesota Viking PxP, is FANTASTIC.”
Good Morning Football host and Minnesota native Jamie Erdahl tweeted in reply to McAfee, “A Minnesota legend turning into a National Treasure.. you freakin love to see it.”
Others around the sports world reacted to the viral video.
