It has been quite a disappointing season for the Tennessee Titans under Mike Vrabel, leading some to consider whether or not it might be time for the team to move on from their head coach. But it doesn’t sound like Vrabel is worried about that.
With the 34-14 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday, the Titans now fell 3-7 on the season. But Mike Vrabel made it clear that he is not worried about his job security, he’s just concerned about his team.
“I don’t try to concern myself with that,” Vrabel said in his press conference according to Pro Football Talk. “I really am focused on these players. I hurt for them. I played 14 years, won some games, won some championships. I am frustrated for the players. I’m disappointed for the players. I want them to have success. I know how hard they work. I know they put into it, so that’s what my focus is.
“My focus is on coaching this team, on trying to get these guys to understand that there’s a fine line in this league of winning and losing. Finding a way to get a win. That’s what I’m focused on.”
Vrabel led the Titans to the playoffs in three of his first four seasons with the Titans but is now on pace for a third consecutive losing season.
