The Arizona Cardinals have been increasingly linked to veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who has yet to decide on whether or not he will play another season in the NFL. Cardinals wide receiver Kendrick Bourne has even publicly recruited Rodgers on social media.

However, some member media have maintained that there is no credence to a connection between Rodgers and the Cardinals.

Now, despite Rodgers having four MVPs and a Super Bowl ring to his name, Arizona head coach Mike LaFleur is confirming that he is not focused on acquiring Rodgers.

“Right now we’re focused on the guys that we’ve got coming in,” LaFleur said. “You got the unit we have with Gardner [Minshew], Jacoby, and [Kedon] Slovis. And then we draft Carson Beck in the third round. He will be here on Thursday, finally. We’re trying to do some Zoom stuff. So we’ve got a room we’re excited to work with, and that’s solely where my focus is.”

Pat McAfee doesn’t see much of a reason for Rodgers to head to the desert.

“”This makes no sense. This would make no sense. Why in the blue hell would Aaron Rodgers go to a Lafleur-led team in Arizona that allegedly has worse facilities than the Pittsburgh Steelers?” he asked on the Pat McAfee Show.

It’ll be interesting to see what Rodgers ultimately decides.
