The Senior Bowl, a great platform for up-and-coming NFL Draft prospects, is set to take place on Saturday, with practices for the game beginning on Tuesday. And according to multiple reports, Michigan star Roman Wilson certainly made a big impression during the opening day of practice.
Wilson played an integral role in Michigan’s success offensively this season, leading the team in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns on the year as the No. 1 receiver.
He also ended up playing a big role in the CFP National Championship victory over the Washington Huskies, hauling in four receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown in the win.
It could be argued however that Wilson was limited this year by the run-first nature of Michigan’s offense this past season. That certainly appears to be the case considering all of the praise he received on Tuesday.
According to Jaime Eisner of The Draft Network, Wilson was “the talk” of the Senior Bowl on Tuesday, adding that his draft stock “will soar” if he continues this level of play throughout the week.
Jordan Vanek of The 33rd Team echoed these sentiments, saying Wilson was continuously getting open throughout the practice.
Countless other draft experts and outlets talked up Wilson’s performance throughout the day.
Most outlets project Wilson to be a Day 2 or Day 3 type of prospect when it comes to where he could potentially be drafted. However, it sure seems like that narrative could change with more excellent play throughout the Senior Bowl practices moving forward.
