Early Thursday morning, United States President Joe Biden announced some fantastic, revealing that WNBA superstar Brittney Griner, who had been imprisoned in Russia for over 10 months, has been released as part of a prisoner swap and is returning home to the United States. But even though it’s a massive update from Biden, it wasn’t enough to win everyone’s support – including Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons.
Following the news of the release of Brittney Griner, Micah Parsons took to Twitter to give some blunt thoughts to Joe Biden, revealing that even though Biden did successfully negotiate Griner’s freedom, he still has no plans to vote for him in the next presidential election.

“We still not voting for you !” Parsons said in a Tweet replying to Biden’s Tweet announcing Griner’s return.
A few moments later, Parsons also expressed disappointment that the United States secured the release of Brittney Griner but left former United States Marine Paul Whelan imprisoned in Russia.
“Wait nah!! We left a marine?!! H*ll nah,” Parsons said in a Tweet.
Parsons clarified his statement with a follow-up Tweet.
Though it is disappointing that Whelan was not released along with Griner, his family revealed that they are okay with the decision and are happy for Griner, saying “there is no greater success than for a wrongful detainee to be freed and for them to go home.”
