The Los Angeles Rams had a night full of special moments on Sunday, defeating the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI 23-20. That win came on the Rams’ home field at SoFi Stadium. And that set up the parade they had Wednesday, which produced a lot of interesting videos. First off, quarterback Matthew Stafford celebrated the day with his family enjoying a cigar and some drinks.
Star defensive tackle Aaron Donald pulled a J.R Smith back in 2016 and went shirtless on the bus.
There has been speculation on Donald’s future, following reports that he could retire if the Rams won the Super Bowl. Head coach Sean McVay had a strong message for Donald with his possible decision looming.
Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp entered the parade honoring the late Kobe Bryant by wearing his Lakers jersey today.
Possibly the talk of the parade, however, was Rams’ general manager Les Snead. Snead was seen on the bus wearing a shirt with his face on it reading “f*** them picks,” referring to the draft picks he traded away for proven veterans like Stafford, Von Miller, and Jalen Ramsey.
He also had this to say during the parade press conference.
Rams receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was also seen on the bus celebrating with a drink. Beckham was not able to finish the Super Bowl, tearing his ACL for the second time in the same knee in the second quarter of the game.
The Rams find themselves in some serious cap room problems going forward, as projected with the sixth-least cap room in the league for 2022. But if they can retain many of the key the pieces they currently have, there should be no reason that they can’t run it back and be right in the hunt to be a strong playoff team next year.
