The Detroit Lions had one of the most successful seasons in franchise history last year, not only winning the NFC North but securing the number one overall seed in the conference for the first time in franchise history.
Unfortunately, the Lions’ season was also completely derailed by injuries up and down the defensive side of the ball. Now, there’s news that the Lions already know they’ll be dealing with injuries on that side of the ball throughout this season as well.
“Lions HC Dan Campbell said LB Malcolm Rodriguez is not expected to return from his knee injury until November,” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Thursday.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“unfortunate for him but will be nice to see the Lions defense healthy again mostly,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Lios are about to have a down season. OC is gone DC is gone Let’s see what Campbell can do without Ben Jhonson aka the magician,” another fan added.
“Looks like Malcolm Rodriguez is taking the scenic route back from that knee injury November will feel like forever for Lions fans,” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see what level the Lions’ defense performs at this season.
