Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has solidified himself as one of the league’s premier quarterbacks after being shipped to Detroit by the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Last season, Goff led the Lions to the best record in the NFC and the number one overall seed heading into the playoffs despite having a defense on the other side of the ball that was completely depleted by injuries.

This year, Detroit is looking to build on last season’s success and reach the Super Bowl this time. Unfortunately, all of the momentum that Goff has heading into this weekend’s massive matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs is now in jeopardy, as his top receiving threat has popped up on the injury report.

“St. Brown did not take part in practice due to a wrist injury. It’s a new injury for St. Brown, who has 35 catches for 406 yards and a league-high six touchdowns through the first five weeks of the season,” reported Pro Football Talk’s Josh Alper.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Saw him flexing and twisting his hand around during the game. He played through it so I’m betting (and hoping) he’ll be able to play through it Sunday night,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“He played through it last week, I’m guessing he won’t practice but will play,” another fan added.

“He’ll still be out there, it’ll be braced or wrapped up,” someone else predicted.

It’ll be interesting to see how the injury gets managed leading up to the game.
