Park Zebley, a video production crew member who alleges Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams shoved him to the ground during a game last season against the Kansas City Chiefs, filed a civil lawsuit against Adams, the Raiders, the Chiefs and other parties this week.
According to The Kansas City Star, Zebley alleges in the complaint filed in Jackson County Circuit Court that he “feared for his life in the immediate aftermath of the alleged assault and was diagnosed with concussion system.” Zebley also claims he was targeted online after the incident as well.
The incident occurred on a Monday Night Football game between the Chiefs and the Raiders on Oct. 10th. Adams finished with two touchdowns. A collision with a teammate in one of the final plays, however, led to a game-sealing incomplete pass in the 30-29 loss for the Raiders.
On the way off the field, Adams shoved Zebley to the ground.
“A municipal misdemeanor battery charge is not sufficient,” Zebley, a graduate of Mill Valley High School in the De Soto district, said in a statement to The Star. “I’m looking for justice. You can’t shove someone down and walk off like it didn’t happen. Not in real life.”
