NFL world reacts to Friday’s Lamar Jackson report

The Baltimore Ravens would love to have a healthy Lamar Jackson back in the lineup this weekend when they face the Los Angeles Rams. They might still get Jackson, but it’s unlikely they’ll have him healthy.

Jackson, who has been hobbled by an ankle injury and missed the last two games, has been practicing on Wednesday but has been seen limping and clearly isn’t 100%. While offensive coordinator Greg Roman said on Thursday that if the coaches feel like he’s ready to play, then he will, the Ravens are glad to have Tyler Huntley back in the lineup following a brief stop on the COVID-19 reserve list.

It’s been assumed that Huntley is more likely to make his third consecutive start while Jackson continues to recover, but the Ravens have also lost four straight and need to win both remaining games to ensure their spot in the playoffs.

On Friday, reports broke that Jackson did not practice for the second-straight day and while it remained possible he could play against the Rams, it is trending toward’s Huntley getting the start.

“It certainly seems Tyler Huntley would in line to start, though you don’t ever want to rule out Lamar Jackson,” said NFL insider Ian Rapoport. “I know if he could possibly get out there and play, even at less than 100%, he is going to. But the signs here seem to point to Huntley being out there for the Baltimore Ravens.”

We’ll see how it all breaks out for the Ravens against the Rams but before then the reports about Jackson certainly caused some reactions on social media.
