The Arizona Cardinals are in the middle of a three-game losing streak after an embarrassing collapse ended with the Tennessee Titans winning their first game of the season. The Cardinals know that they’ll need to turn things around as quickly as possible if they want to remain in striking distance of winning the NFC West.
Unfortunately, the Cards have the red-hot Indianapolis Colts this weekend. If that weren’t enough to deal with, now franchise quarterback Kyler Murray has popped up on the injury report with a concerning foot injury that has thrown his status for game day in jeopardy, per one prominent league insider.
“Cardinals HC Jonathan Gannon said Kyler Murray won’t practice today due to his foot injury, and he’s taking it ‘day by day,'” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the network’s senior NFL insider.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Kyler Murray won’t practice today. Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Beta got extended to tomorrow morning,” one fan joked on Twitter.
“Smart move to be cautious, Murray needs to be 100% to lead the Cardinals effectively,” another fan added.
“Kyler Murray after his rookie contract him CJ Stroud might flip burgers at Burger King,” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see if Murray can recover in time to face the Colts.
