The Denver Broncos absolutely shut down the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday afternoon, allowing just nine points and forcing nine turnovers in the game. It was a dominant showing, and it has quarterback Patrick Mahomes sounding a little bit concerned about future matchups against other teams.
During his press conference, Patrick Mahomes revealed some particularly brutal news about the loss, indicating that he thinks other teams in the league will be able to successfully follow the Denver Broncos blueprint against the Chiefs.
“Teams are going to replicate it and try to find different versions of it,” Mahomes said according to Pro Football Talk. “Two of the last three weeks they’ve seen the Broncos stifle our offense.”
Obviously, that would be a concerning situation for the Chiefs moving forward as they will have to make some big adjustments to keep that from happening, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it.
The Chiefs have a chance to bounce back this week against the Miami Dolphins, and it sounds like the team is going to try to make some adjustments.
“We try to do whatever we can to bounce back. That’s all we can do. We’ll learn from our mistakes in this game and try to be better going into Germany this week and try to get the momentum back in our favor. Obviously, today wasn’t our day, but we can continue to get better and better,” Mahomes said.
We’ll have to see what adjustments they make.
