Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes is widely regarded as one of the best quarterbacks in NFL. That obviously comes with a ton of confidence and self-belief, which Mahomes seemingly has in spades after a video emerged of him talking to Jalen Hurts before last year’s Super Bowl.
Mahomes is a part of the popular Netflix docuseries called “Quarterbacks”. In the show, a video emerged of Mahomes talking to Jalen Hurts during a press appearance before the Super Bowl back in February.
The video, which has now gone viral on social media, shows Mahomes telling Hurts that he had actually booked an Airbnb in Arizona for the Super Bowl three months before he and the Chiefs even made it to the game.
“I got a crib like six minutes from our hotel,” Mahomes told Hurts in a video shared by Ari Meirov on Twitter. “So my fam is going to stay there. I just like Airbnb’d it. I did that sh** like three months ago.”
This obviously meant that Mahomes has just casually assumed that he and the Chiefs would be going to the Super Bowl, which is absurd considering how difficult it truly is to make it to the big game.
The NFL world clearly took notice of this insane quote from Mahomes and can’t believe that he had so much confidence in himself and his team.
It certainly helps that he clearly has the talent to back up all the confidence that he has. Mahomes is coming off a season where he earned his second MVP award, and it doesn’t seem like his dominance over the AFC will be stopping anytime soon.
