The Kansas City Chiefs and superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes are eager to avenge last season’s embarrassing Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Although the Chiefs reached the Super Bowl, their offense looked out of sorts throughout the season, and Mahomes struggled pushing the ball down the field.
Unfortunately, the Chiefs have to start the season without the services of star wide receiver Rashee Rice as he serves a suspension for the first six weeks of the 2025 campaign. However, a name has emerged as a candidate to fill the void left behind by Rice’s absence.
“Hill starred in Kansas City until his desire for more money (and perhaps to not be in the shadow of Patrick Mahomes and/or Travis Kelce) sparked a trade. During his apology tour in advance of Super Bowl LIX, Hill admitted on PFT Live that he sometimes regrets leaving the Chiefs. And the Chiefs could use him, before and after Rashee Rice returns from his six-game suspension,” reported Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“If I Brett veach I need to pull this trade off not even to help reciving core besides all his off the field stuff the fact you bring back tyreek in a season witch the entire fandom knows it Travis last season the fact you give the fans pat trav and Ty for Super Bowl run in needed,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“He’s more likely on track to be the next Antonio Brown,” someone else added.
“Andy Reid knows how to deal with Hill. Back to Chiefs just might happen,” added another fan.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Chiefs make the call and formally begin trade talks.
