The New York Jets are looking to get things turned around under new head coach Aaron Glenn, following two disappointing seasons under the Aaron Rodgers experience. Now, the Jets are rolling with Justin Fields as the franchise’s starting quarterback.

Unfortunately for Fields and the Jets, Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills dropped the Jets to 0-2 on the season. To rub salt in the wound, the Jets will have to move forward without Fields for the time being, according to one prominent league insider.

“Jets QB Justin Fields is in concussion protocol,” reported ESPN’s senior NFL insider Adam Schefter on Twitter on Monday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Yeah he’s better off doing that as I’m sorry to say his career as a starter is over. QB is hard,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“well that a Tough break for the Jets losing Fields to concussion protocol could stall their momentum,” someone else added.

“That Jets season already looked shaky, this could send it spiraling fast,” another fan added.

“At what point do the Jets start rethinking their whole QB strategy?” one fan wanted to know.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Jets navigate the loss of their starting quarterback.
