On Sunday night, Jordan Love led his Green Bay Packers to victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, out-dueling Patrick Mahomes with 25-of-36 for 267 yards and three touchdowns in the 27-19 win. It was a dominant performance against the Chiefs, and it was a nice way to rebound from the first start of Love’s career against the Chiefs back in 2021, which did not go nearly as well.
Jordan Love made the first start of his career against Kansas City back in 2021 when Aaron Rodgers was out with an injury. Love finished that game just 19-of-34 for 190 yards with a touchdown and an interception in a 13-7 loss at Arrowhead Stadium. And it sounds like Love was eager to respond to that loss in his debut start.
“It’s huge,” Love said at his postgame press conference according to Pro Football Talk. “For me personally, obviously I’ve had this game circled for a long time. My first start, obviously, didn’t play how I wanted to the first game. So to be able to see these guys again and get the victory is huge. It’s just a great team win tonight. Everybody just balled out, so it was an awesome win.”
It’s safe to say that Love rebounded nicely for the Packers and looked like a much-improved quarterback this time around.
