The good news for Indianapolis Colts fans is that star running back Jonathan Taylor is expected to return to Indianapolis Colts camp this week as he’s previously been absent due to the ankle injury he suffered last season. But the bad news is, it sounds like he still wants a trade away from the team.
According to a report from Stephan Holder of ESPN, Jonathan Taylor still wants to be traded away from the Indianapolis Colts even as he nears his return to the team.
“The Colts have declined to engage in contract negotiations with Taylor, the 2021 NFL rushing leader who is scheduled to become a free agent after the season. That position resulted in Taylor making a trade request — one that Colts owner Jim Irsay said publicly would not be accommodated. Taylor continues to hold out hope for a trade, and the parties have been in a standoff ever since, with no clear resolution in sight,” Holder wrote for ESPN this weekend.
It’s a pretty brutal situation for both the Colts and Taylor, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on social media as a result.

It will certainly be interesting to see how this relationship plays out.
