It’s certainly been an interesting offseason between the Indianapolis Colts and star running back Jonathan Taylor with the running back requesting a trade and remaining absent for much of the preseason as he continues to recover from an ankle injury. But it looks like that drama is set to take another turn.

According to Indianapolis Colts Shane Steichen, Jonathan Taylor is set to return to the team from his absence this week and will travel with the team for their road trip to Philadelphia where they will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in their final preseason game.

However, even though he will be returning to the team, that doesn’t mean he’s going to play as Steichen also noted that Taylor remains on the physically unable to perform list as he continues to rehab his ankle injury and he is still ineligible to take part in any practices.

Still, his return to the team is at least a welcomed update for Colts fans after his trade request earlier this offseason, and people had plenty to say about it on social media as a result.

We’ll have to see if the two sides can come to an amicable solution before the start of the season.
