Green Bay Packers star Jonathan Owens got on social media recently to defend his wife Simone Biles.
Biles, who has won 25 World Championship medals, is the most decorated gymnast in history and is considered by many to be the greatest gymnast of all time.
She’s had some allegations levied against her, which were posted by a person on social media, who claims to have met Biles and explicitly said that the Olympic medalist was rude to her.
This person said that Biles was rude to her when she asked if she’d take a picture with her four-year-old.
The person tweeted out that Biles was “(expletive) rude,” and she continued to say that Biles when asked, said “Absolutely not. Your daughter is 4 and she doesn’t even know me.” Then she said the star complained to the store manager about being watched while she was perusing through items.
When Owens heard about someone trying to drag his wife on social media, he jumped into action.
“Spreading lies on the internet is crazy,” he started. “It’s okay for her to deny a picture. People don’t understand, sometimes you just want to shop in peace, if she stops and takes one picture people will just keep following her and won’t leave us alone.”
“And another thing,” he continued, “I’ve never heard her talk to someone like that, especially to someone who asked her for a picture, like why would you try to make her look like that.”
“I’m not going for that, I don’t play bout my baby,” he concluded.
Since Owens made his thoughts clear about the situation, the woman has made her account private.
