Throughout the 2023 NFL season, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has not looked anywhere near as dominant throwing the ball as he has in previous years as he continues to fight through a calf injury that he sustained during the preseason. But it sounds like despite the struggles and obvious injury issues, he will continue to lead the Bengals offense in Cincinnati.
On Monday, Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor announced that Joe Burrow will continue to be the team’s starting quarterback during their matchup with the Arizona Cardinals this week, claiming that Burrow is healthy enough to lead the team’s offense and will continue to do so this year.
“It is what it is. I think every week is going to continue to improve that way. We’ve got to be better at the things we can control,” Taylor said of Burrow’s health at his Monday press conference, according to Pro Football Talk.
Burrow’s play on the field certainly indicates that something is wrong, so the NFL world was pretty skeptical about this announcement from the Bengals on Monday afternoon, offering plenty of reactions on social media.
Oh so he’s not injured, he just sucks? I agree Zac! https://t.co/EuZtbh38FF

The Bengals are currently just 1-3 to start the season after entering the year with hopes of competing for the Super Bowl.
