Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow is known for giving it all on the football field, and now he’s finding a way to give even more off the field, announcing the launch of The Joe Burrow Foundation, a nonprofit foundation to help meet the needs of underprivileged and underserved families in Ohio and Louisiana.

When Burrow won the Heisman Trophy with the LSU Tigers back in 2019, he famously highlighted the less fortunate rural area of Ohio in which he grew up where food shortages are a problem. His speech resulted in a flurry of donations to the local food pantry. And now, he’s using that experience and passion to help even more people.

“With that night as a springboard, Joe and his parents, with business and community leaders from Ohio and Louisiana, founded The Joe Burrow Foundation,” the foundation’s website reads. “The primary focus is helping children with mental illness and those experiencing food insecurity. The Joe Burrow Foundation promises to bring to these children the same passion, dedication and creative energy displayed by Joe on the football field.”

It’s a classy move from Burrow, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it.

Burrow will return to the football field next weekend when the Bengals take on the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night with the AFC North lead on the line.
