The New York Jets have not had a lot of things go right so far this season. Following Sunday’s loss to the Carolina Panthers, New York is the NFL’s last remaining winless team in the league, sitting at 0-7.
Things are so ugly in New York that starting quarterback Justin Fields got benched for Tyrod Taylor to start the quarterback. Now, head coach Aaron Glenn is making a shocking decision in the wake of Fields’ struggles to begin the season, according to one prominent league insider.
“Aaron Glenn says he hasn’t decided on his QB yet,” reported ESPN’s Rich Cimini.
Fans reacted to Glenn’s decision to still consider starting Fields on social media.
“If they don’t start Brady Cook then Glenn is lost, with Cook you have a chance of catching lightning in a bottle,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“I really just don’t understand how he can have any real question about the QB position. If he has to consult other coaches about it, this job may be too big for him,” someone else added.
“Tyrod is 50. I get it, you want to make a change, but for what? Still gonna be (bad) & there’s 0% Tyrod is the future. It’s also unfair for the straw that broke that camels back to be a game without your best player & weapon. Nobody would’ve looked good with that cast yesterday,” another fan added.
It’ll be interestin gto see how Glenn decides to move forward.
