The Pittsburgh Steelers have a new head coach for the first time in 19 seasons, with Mike McCarthy replacing Mike Tomlin this offseason. However, just as was the case with the last several years of Tomlin’s tenure with the organization, the Steelers have major question marks surrounding the quarterback position.
Aaron Rodgers, the Steelers quarterback for the 2025 campaign, has won a Super Bowl with McCarthy as his head coach in what feels like another time, but the quarterback made it clear that Mike Tomlin was a big reason why he came to the Steel City.
For his part, McCarthy said that he’d “definitely” want Aaron back in Pittsburgh next season.
The Steelers would love to know get a clearer picture of where Rodgers’ head is at, but if history in any indicator, he’ll take his time and privacy while deciding what’s next, and may be hard for even the Steelers to reach, jsut ask Jay Glazer.
I trained with Aaron in the offseason. I still can’t tell you how he’ll be on a Monday or a Tuesday. Like I never know. You never know. I thought we were real good friends, and all that stuff, then he called me back once this whole offseason, so screw him,” NFL insider Jay Glazer said In a Super Bowl week appearance with Yahoo Sports,
Fans reacted to Glazer’s harsh words for Rodgers on social media.
“LOL, does Rogers need to call him everyday to check on him? That’s weird,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Nobody actually likes jay glazer. they ALL laugh at him behind his back,” someone else added.
“These people gossip for a living. You have to know they’ll be overdramatic about the smallest things,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if Rodgers and Glazer can repair their relationship.
