One of the most impressive players in college football last season was Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver Jameson Williams.
Williams was a big reason that the team made it to the National Championship Game against Georgia, but unfortunately, he exited the game early in the second quarter after a non-contact knee injury that ended up being a torn ACL. It was a crushing diagnosis for Williams, who was expected to be one of the top receivers taken in the upcoming 2022 NFL draft in April.
However, it appears that the star receiver is well on his way to making a full recovery.
While Williams will not attend Alabama’s pro day on Wednesday, a video has surfaced that shows him already back on the field last week doing some light action.
This is a shocking development for someone who just had ACL surgery two months ago. NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday that Williams expects to be running by the time the NFL Draft comes around.
This report has gotten the NFL world talking, with many in disbelief that Williams is so far ahead of the normal recovery time for an ACL injury.
It seems like just yesterday everyone was worried about Williams’ future given a significant knee injury like this, but it appears that he will be back and as good as ever, if not better.
Most still expect Williams to be picked in the first round and possibly the first wide receiver selected in the upcoming NFL Draft. NFL scouts certainly must love to see this update on him as they finalize their decisions.
