The Philadelphia Eagles are set to face off against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. And an underlying storyline ahead of the matchup is the budding rivalry between Eagles cornerback James Bradberry and 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel.
This feud between the two dates back to last year’s NFC Championship game. Despite the Eagles winning that game, Deebo Samuel sounded off about Bradberry, calling the former Pro Bowl cornerback “trash” in an interview days after the game.
Samuel was asked about this comment recently since the two teams are facing off again in Week 13. And to put it nicely, he didn’t back down from his view of Bradberry.
“I don’t regret nothing I said,” said Samuel on Monday when asked about his past criticism of Bradberry.

It didn’t take long for Bradberry to be notified of Samuel’s recent comments. And surprisingly, Bradberry opted to take the high road.
“Of course, I don’t necessarily like what he said,” Bradberry said via Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia. “I wish he would have used a better word to describe my play, but it is what it is. At the end of the day, all I can do is control my work ethic and what I do day to day.”
Bradberry went on to question exactly why he has been singled out by Samuel.
“You would have to ask him,” Bradberry added. “From the clips that I saw, they felt like they had a good game plan against us. They felt like they had some open routes against us. Yeah, I don’t know. You’ve got to ask him.”
Bradberry obviously could have gone equally as low as Samuel by hurling some insults at him. Instead, it seems like he is eager to let the results on the field do the talking.
