The Jacksonville Jaguars suffered a disappointing loss on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Kansas City Chiefs in the division round of the NFL playoffs. But in the grand scheme of things, it was still quite a successful season for the team.
As NFL reporter Ari Meirov points out, the Jaguars have come a long way this year after finishing dead last in the league last year and have quite a hopeful future.
“The #Jaguars went from having the No. 1 overall pick to being in the Divisional Round the very next year. They got the coach right. They saw their QB blossom into the player we all thought he could be. They exceeded expectations and thensome. A bright future in Duval,” Meirov said in a tweet.
The NFL world wasted no time in agreeing with him, with many people expressing their excitement about the future of the Jaguars.
“It helps when you have one of the highest rated QB prospects since Andrew Luck. Plus a Super Bowl winning coach,” George Carmi of The Full Press NFL said in a tweet.

“I’ll be cheering vicariously for the Jags for the next year or two,” Ian McGibboney of the USA Today Network.
“The Jags are following the blue print of the Cincinnati Bengals. They’re no longer a bunch of J.A.G.s. The AFC will have to contend w/ #DUUUVAL for years to come…” Tank Williams of Yahoo Sports said in a tweet.
“BEARS GOT NEXT,” Bleacher Nation Bears said in tweet.
“So excited to watch this #Jaguars team grow. Watch them go OL/WR/TE in free agency and #NFLDraft2023,” Bengals blog River City Stripes said in a tweet.
It was a disappointing loss, but the future is bright in Jacksonville.
