Herschel Walker, the Republican nominee for Senate in Georgia, faces Democratic incumbent Reverend Raphael Warnock in a pivotal election that could ultimately decide which political party controls the powerful legislative chamber after next week’s midterm elections.
The campaign has been as bruising as you would think with both sides sinking tens of millions of dollars into the contest. Walker’s campaign has been rocked by two women accusing Walker, a rabidly pro-life candidate, of financing their abortions.
Walker’s polling numbers have held steady in recent weeks despite the allegations, which Walker has denied. That could change, however, as Walker’s second accuser shocked campaign observers by appearing on camera for a media interview.
The woman, still choosing to appear as “Jane Doe,” spoke with Good Morning America.
“I protected him. And I wanted this to remain private, for obvious reasons,” she said before adding that she felt “threatened” by Walker after telling him the news.
She said that she, like Walker’s first accuser, also received cards from him where he simply signed his name as, “-H.”
“I knew I had many cards from him where he signed the letter ‘H.’ And so I believed then that she was telling the truth,” Doe told GMA.
The 2022 midterm elections are set for Nov. 8th, 2022.
