Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers looked like the best team in the NFC on Sunday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers. In a nationally televised game against, Love connected with emerging tight end talent Tucker Kraft seven times for 143 yards and two touchdowns.

Love and Kraft were hoping to replicate the dominant performance on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, but found themselves stunned 16-13 at home. To make matters worse, Kraft left the game with what was feared to be a significant, season-altering injury.

On Monday, Love and Green Bay’s worst fears were confirmed, according to one prominent insider around the league.

“Tests confirmed that Packers TE Tucker Kraft did in fact tear his ACL as feared, per source,” reported Adam Schefter, ESPN’s senior NFL insider, on Monday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Kraft’s false nine positioning from the Y was opening 12 yards of space for Love’s progressions. Luke Musgrave sits deeper naturally – changes the entire passing structure for Green Bay,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“He will be back to being the best TE in football next season Speedy recovery,” someone else added.

“Damn not even a Packers fan but he was fun to watch. Sucks for the guy,” one fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see if Love undergoes significant regression without Kraft for the rest of the season.
