Green Bay Packers may be ready to trade Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers may not have made a decision about his future, but the Green Bay Packers may have. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Packers may be ready to move on from the reigning MVP.

Rodgers admitted last week on The Pat McAfee Show that he is open to a trade.

Rodgers said it “wouldn’t offend me, and it wouldn’t make me feel like a victim.”

Schefter says changes are on the way for the Packers; the only question is if their plans include Rodgers. Dumping Rodgers and his huge salary may open the door for the Packers to get quality players in the draft and in free agency that they didn’t have this year.

Rodgers said if it wasn’t for COVID, he’d probably already be gone.

“They drafted my replacement, and if I didn’t win two COVID MVPs, this conversation probably would’ve happened earlier,” Rodgers said to McAfee “But in a year where I’m not going to win MVP, it allows for all the different conjectures of if Jordan (Love) is ready and if it’s time to move on.”

The Packers also may be just tired of the quarterback and his mind games and feel that the team just may need to look toward the future.
