Over the past several months, Tom Brady and his supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen have had very public marriage problems. While it initially looked like the couple might be able to make amends and stay together, the two have each lawyered up and are headed for what looks to be a “nasty” divorce with a ton of money on the line. And it looks like Gisele, in particular, is going with a superstar lawyer.
According to a report from Page Six, Gisele has hired the top divorce lawyer in the state of Florida to represent her against Brady. This high-profile lawyer is the same attorney who represented star golfer Tiger Woods in his divorce from Elin Nordegren.
“Insiders say Bündchen hired Tom Sasser, the managing partner of the law firm of Sasser, Cestero & Roy,” Emily Smith wrote in Page Six. “The West Palm Beach divorce attorney has handled a stable of high-profile clients including Tiger Woods in his divorce with Elin Nordegren.”
While the lawyers battle it out in court, Brady and Gisele have plenty to do in the meantime. Brady is in the midst of a frustrating season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as things are going so poorly that reporters are asking him if he might be considering retirement mid-season. Gisele, meanwhile, has spent some time with her spiritual healer.
