Things have not gone according to plan through the first three weeks of the season for the New York Giants and veteran quarterback Russell Wilson, who have found themselves sitting at 0-3. Things have gone so poorly, in fact, that the Giants are making a change at the quarterback position.

“A QB change: Giants are planning to start rookie Jaxson Dart on Sunday vs. the Chargers, sources told ESPN,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday.

Unfortunately for Dart, as if his first-ever start against the Los Angeles Chargers defense weren’t enough, he’ll also be without one of his most important weapons.

“Doctors believe Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. is expected to be sidelined two to four weeks due to the dislocated shoulder injury he suffered Sunday night vs. Kansas City, per sources. With Tracy out, the Giants are expected to lean on rookie RB Cam Skattebo and veteran RB Devin Singletary,” Schefter tweeted.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Could’ve been worse, I’ll take that,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Silly injury too he didnt need to shoulder barge the defender at all while being 3 inches from going outta bound,” someone else added.

“I think Tyrone Tracy is going to factor big into the Giants plans moving forward, so this is a loss regardless. However, Cam Skattebo was destined to take over as RB1 anyway. This just speeds up the process that was already in motion,” another fan wrote.

It’ll be interesting to see how this loss impacts Dart.
