The New York Giants made the shocking decision to bench veteran quarterback and former Super Bowl champion Russell Wilson in favor of rookie Jaxson Dart ahead of last week’s win. Dart responded by leading the Giants to their first win of the season in an upset over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Dart’s second start didn’t go quite as smoothly, with the young quarterback struggling to take care of a loss to the winless New Orleans Saints. Now, there’s been an injury development that may explain some of Dart’s problems with keeping the ball secure.

“He finished the game & it’s just a walk through Would be hard pressed to think Dart won’t be out there Our WR room on the other hand,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“If he can’t play, they should really give jameis a shot over Russ. This team has lost all faith is Russ. On a short week, it could be good to have a wild slinger like Jameis out there,” someone else added.
“Injury.. injury.. injury.. that you have a list with players must be a shame.. they need to get more protected in this sport,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if Dart is ready to go in time for the quick turnaround.
