The NFL themselves, the biggest proponents of the No Fun League, are seemingly at it again.
The controversy is related to San Francisco 49ers’ tight end George Kittle. After scoring a touchdown in San Francisco’s 42-10 drubbing of the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, the Pro Bowl tight end lifted up his jersey to share a message with the Santa Clara faithful.
His shirt read: “(Expletive) Dallas.”
As you might expect, the NFL, who fined Justin Jefferson for doing a “too small” celebration, is considering doing the same to the 49ers’ tight end. According to a report from NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, the league is considering fining Kilttel for the T-shirt he wore Sunday night vs. Dallas, which contained a profane message about the Cowboys.
Under the terms of the NFL’s fine scheudle, personal message carry a fine of $10,927
Those in the NFL world were quick to react to the Kittle-related controversy.
The shirt is good for the rivalry. The rivalry is good for business. NFL needs to relax. https://t.co/bGvHwd3S6y

The vulgarity of the message isn’t what’s at stake here. It’s understandable why the NFL would consider taking offense to that. What many fans in their reactions brought up on social media, is the NFL’s hypocrisy, as the league spent a good chunk of Week 5 hyping up this matchup and rivalry, only to crack down on moments like these.
In the 32-point takedown of Dallas, Kittle hauled in three receptions for 67 yards with three touchdowns.
