The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off their first loss of the season, a shocking upset at the hands of young quarterback Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos. When things mattered most late in the game, Nix was able to lead Denver to victory.

The Eagles are looking for a strong bounce-back performance from their defense on Thursday night in a divisional matchup with the New  York Giants. However, Philadelphia has received some news that could make keeping rookie Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart under control much more difficult.

“Jalen Carter added to the report with a heel injury,” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported of the Eagles’ Wednesday injury report.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Do you think the league needs to rethink scheduling/conditioning, or is this just the reality of the game?” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Seems like Carter always got sumn going on with him,” another fan added.

“Yeah just let him sit this game out,” someone else added.

Carter’s injury isn’t the only concerning development with the Eagles. There’s also been some unrest with star wide receiver A.J. Brown, running back Saquon Barkley, and quarterback Jalen Hurts, as the Eagles try to figure out the proper balance of touches to keep all of their weapons engaged and satisfied.

It’ll be interesting to see how Thursday night goes.
