As former United States President Donald Trump continues his campaign for the upcoming presidential election, it sounds like he has picked up a pretty noteworthy supporter.
As Donald Trump celebrated his victory in the South Carolina primary election last week, he was joined on stage by New York Jets team owner Woody Johnson. And in a recent interview with Fox News, he explained that he will once again be supporting Trump in the 2024 presidential election.
“Americans remember how good it was or how much better it was on the border, and inflation, and gas prices, and grocery prices, all that, during the Trump administration, and they want to get back there,” Johnson told Fox News earlier this month.
“So I think the most important thing is getting the former president back in the White House, which looks like it’s happening,” Johnson continued.
This isn’t exactly shocking as Johnson previously served as U.S. ambassador to the United Kingdom during the Trump administration, but his endorsement of Trump still led to a lot of reactions on social media.
Trump is currently the frontrunner to earn the Republican nomination and is expected to challenge Joe Biden in the general election.
